The stainless steel ball valve is the same type of valve as the plug valve. The difference is that its closing member is a ball, which relies on the ball to rotate around the center line of the valve body to open and close. The following are maintenance instructions for stainless steel ball valves:
1. For stainless steel ball valves, you should first check whether the pressure in the upstream and downstream pipelines has been relieved, and then proceed to disassembly and disassembly after confirmation.
2. In order to avoid damaging the sealing surface of stainless steel ball valve parts, especially non-metallic parts, special tools should be used when removing the O-ring.
3. The bolts on the mounting flange must be tightened symmetrically and evenly.
4. The cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium in the stainless steel ball valve. For example, when the working medium is gas, gasoline can be used to clean metal parts, and non-metal parts can be washed with pure water or alcohol.
5. After disassembling, the individual parts of the stainless steel ball valve can be cleaned by dipping, and the metal parts can be scrubbed with clean silk cloth containing detergent.
6. After cleaning, the stainless steel ball valve must wait for the cleaning agent on the wall to evaporate before assembly, but it cannot be left aside for a long time to avoid rust and contamination.
7. The grease should be compatible with the metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts and working medium of the stainless steel ball valve. When the working medium is gas, special 221 grease can be used.
8. When assembling stainless steel ball valves, it is prohibited to have metal debris, fibers, grease, dust and other impurities and foreign matter contaminating or adhering to the surface of the parts.
