Generally speaking, the service life of stainless steel ball valves is relatively long, but it is basically inseparable from these factors: normal working conditions, harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data. Let me share with you and discuss the maintenance related matters of stainless steel ball valves.
1. If the stainless steel ball valve is closed, there is still pressurized fluid inside the valve body.
2. Before maintenance, touch the pipeline pressure to keep the valve in the open position.
3. Before maintenance, disconnect the power or air source.
4. Before maintenance, separate the actuator from the bracket.
5. It is necessary to find out the upstream and downstream pipelines of the stainless steel ball valve and confirm that the pressure has been relieved before disassembly and decomposition can be performed.
6. When disassembling and reassembling, care must be taken to prevent damage to the sealing surface of the parts, especially for non-metallic parts, special tools should be used when taking out the O-ring.
7. During assembly, the bolts on the flange must be tightened symmetrically and evenly.
8. The cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium in the stainless steel ball valve. If the working medium is gas, the metal parts can be cleaned with gasoline; if it is a non-metallic part, it should be cleaned with pure water or alcohol.
9. The disassembled individual parts can be cleaned by dipping. When cleaning, all grease, dirt, glue, dust, etc. adhering to the wall surface must be removed.
10. After the cleaning is completed, it is necessary to wait for the cleaning agent on the wall to be washed to evaporate before assembling, but it should not be left for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust.
